Serah let out a laugh as she spun in Snows arms. He always picked her up so easily. It had been too long since she had seen him. “I’m so glad to see you!” She exclaimed as her feet touched the ground. “How have you been?” She asked excitedly and, unable to resist, wrapped her arms around him in another hug.

Snow continued to laugh, holding her tight against his body as she hugged him, ecstatic to have the girl back once more.

“Been alright, nothin’ but fightin’. Never a dull moment I guess” he said with a shrug, his body starting to ache as he cooled down from his aggressive time in the Collisseum.

“But you!! You’ve gotten so strong!! Don’t need your hero around anymore huh?” he teased, ruffling her hair. “How was your big adventure? Tell me everythin’.”

Serah shoved his arm away playfully as he ruffled her pink locks. “I’ll alway need you around, Snow. You’re more than just my hero.” She teased back, but meaning every word. Her smile faded a bit as she noticed the tension in his body, he looked exhausted now that she was paying attention.

“Maybe you should rest? Are you hurt?” She asked him worridly, placing a hand on his arm. “We can always catch up later.”

Serah felt her feet touch the ground as she came out of the gate, the golden light of the Historia Crux fading away as she looked around her surroundings. She wasn’t sure where she had came out at, or even what year it was. Spinning around she searched for the familar faces of her two friends and traveling companions. They had gotten seperated in one of the gates a while back and she kept hoping she would find them when she came out. She was about to give up hope when she thought she caught sight of a familar set of dark hair.

Her blue eyes brightened in excitement as she rushed towards the young man she hadn’t seen in so long. ”Noel?!”

“Serah,” Noel exclaimed as he put his arms around her and gave her a hug. His long time travelling companion had found him again. “I’ve missed you, I hope you’re doing well.”

Serah easily returned the hug. Pulling away she gave him a grin. “I’ve missed you too! It’s been a bit lonely traveling without you and Mog, but I met a lot of new people. How about you? You seem to be doing well.”

“Oh me? I’m doing pretty good!” Noel smiled.

“Let’s see I’m married and have kids now,” he said with a smirk. “It’s been everything I’ve ever wanted. I didn’t realize you were all alone in traveling. Any exciting stories?” 

“Oh, wow!” Serah beamed. “Congratulations!” It was odd seeing how she felt like it had only been a few months since she last saw her fellow time traveler, but Serah was happy for him all the same. It was great that Noel had a family of his own now. Curiously, though she thought she might know the answer, she wondered who he had married. “I can’t wait to meet your new family. I can’t say I have any exciting stories really, though the gates have been acting strange.”

Serah took another glance just to be sure. Her blue eyes brightened as she realized who was standing there. It had been so long since she’d last saw him and her heart was filled with joy. Running up to him with open arms, her face showed her excitement in seeing her fiance.

“Snow!”

“Serah??” Snow asked, peering in to be sure it was her as she ran towards him.

“Serah!” he yelled, running in to grab her up in his arms, spinning around on the spot.

“You’re really here!! I’ve missed you like crazy!!! Thank Etro you’re safe.”

Serah gazed around her, her pink hair bobbing this way and that as she moved her head. Once she had came out of the Historia Crux she’d started wandering, usnure where she was but hoping to find something familar. Instead, just up ahead she noticed a young brunette. Moving towards the unknown woman she pulled up a gloved hand to wave. A smile was on her face as she came closer.

“Hello there!”

It was easy to tell the young girl wasn’t from around here. Her bright and unusual clothing pretty much gave it away. Though the young Cetra was used to seeing people of all kinds, especially in recent weeks. The girl seemed to have just…popped out of nowhere but she didn’t look all that surprised to be here.

“Oh! Hello” she replied, her tone equally as cheery as she waved back a little. “Anything I can help you with Miss?” She offered. Though this did happen often she didn’t get tired of it, she quite liked meeting and greeting, she felt like a tour guide. Not that there really was that much to see here but still.

Serah smiled at the woman dressed in pink. If she had to guess they were probably pretty close in age. Her cheery tone made Serah feel a little more at ease and her own smile was able to stay easily in place. She hadn’t thought to worry until after she’d already spoken as to whether or not she would be greeted with kindness or animosity. It was a relief that she had found someone who seemed kinda and willing to help.

She didn’t fail to notice that the woman didn’t seem put off by her sudden appearance and she wondered idly if Noel or Mog had came out here as well. “Um, yes actually. Thank you.” She let her eyes wander around them for just a moment, one hand reaching up to her engagement necklace. “I think I might be a little lost. Could you tell me where I am?”
